How I Healed My Body From Chronic Ovarian Cysts
“In my early 20’s, I suddenly developed chronic ovarian cysts out of the blue. Ovarian cysts are solid or fluid-filled sacs that form on the ovaries. When women ovulate, a cyst forms over the egg and ruptures to release the egg every month. They’re usually pretty minor and we do not usually feel them—but for some women, the cysts do not rupture each month and they slowly collect fluid. Eventually, the cysts can become so large that they either rupture and cause tremendous pain or damage to the ovary, or they must be removed surgically.
My Journey With Chronic Ovarian Cysts
“This story will always be a difficult one for me to share. But there is so much beauty and expansion in overcoming a traumatic situation and finding healing amid our lowest points. In the end, I’m fortunate that my story ended up with a happy ending, because I decided to fully surrender into what was happening and dive deeply into myself to find healing. I also want to note that this is my experience—what worked for me might be different than what works for you. Why I Quit My Dream Job in NYC to Move to an Island
“Take a deep breath in. You’re going to feel some pressure,” said the nurse as she inserted a large probe into my vagina. It was nearly 8 p.m. in January 2020, and I sprinted to the office from work after squeezing in a last minute appointment.
